Celebrating Milestones: A Year of Accelerated Creative and 8 Years of Content…
This past June marked a significant milestone for Accelerated Creative as we celebrated our one-year anniversary! 🎉
Reflecting on this journey, I can’t help but think back to when I announced our shift from NewJerseyCoasters last year. It was a major turning point, filled with anticipation but also uncertainty. Moving forward from a brand that had been my identity for five years was daunting. The name "NewJerseyCoasters" had become synonymous with my work in the professional realm, and the decision to transition away from a familiar brand was tough, to say the least.
Fortunately, I wasn't alone in this endeavor. A supportive network of colleagues rallied around me, offering guidance and insights that illuminated the path toward a brighter and more expansive future. This transition wasn’t just about changing a name; it was about embracing potential and breaking free from the constraints of a specific geographical identity. Rather than being tethered to New Jersey, we opened ourselves up to opportunities across broader horizons.
NewJerseyCoasters started in 2017 as a humble Instagram account named GreatAdventurePhotos, showcasing thrilling experiences from local amusement parks. Over time, the account evolved and was rebranded into NewJerseyCoasters, a recognizable name in the community. I realized that moving away from such an established image was bound to involve substantial changes, some of which felt overwhelming.
As I embarked on this rebranding journey, practical matters loomed large. Every aspect of our digital presence needed an overhaul—websites, domains, social media profiles—all had to be updated to match this new identity. Scheduling everything in the midst of summer proved challenging, but it also coincided beautifully with our seven-year anniversary, creating a sense of unity and celebration.
During this transformative period, I was fortunate to have Sam Cooper, a close friend and creative partner, help design our new logo. Additionally, a colleague from Dorney Park provided valuable inspiration for our new name. The final logo design pays homage to our roots, incorporating elements that resonate with New Jersey while featuring a prominent coaster—GaleForce—one of the first attractions we ever filmed. This connection to our history remains integral, allowing us to honor where we came from while looking forward to where we are headed.
As I reflect on a year with Accelerated Creative, it's clear we have accomplished a great deal, yet there remains so much more to explore. Despite navigating challenges such as tariffs and economic fluctuations, we have experienced meaningful growth across all of our social media platforms. Reestablishing relationships with past clients while also welcoming new ones has not only broadened our client base but has also enriched our portfolio significantly.
